Corn

Today I learned something that almost shook me to the very core.  Corn is not a vegetable, but rather a grain.  I thought I had been doing so well all these years eating my vegetables while I place heaping helpings of corn on my plate.  But alas, I was deceived, and was only adding more grain to my diet. I wonder how cows will feel about this revelation that they are not getting a well rounded diet of vegetables since they are fed so much corn.  And what does this say about corn syrup.  I thought I was adding vegetables to my breakfast as the syrup I put on my waffles has corn syrup in it.
