Recently I watched some soap operas. Probably to your surprise, I had never watched one. I don't care for operas. At over 70 years old that was quite the surprise to many of my friends that I had never viewed even one. Many of my friends watch them daily. Well one afternoon I watched a number of them. To my surprise, there was not an opera in any of them, not even any singing. As for soap, not a one of them had any in the show. Nobody washing their hands, no body washing clothes, or even a scene of a laundromat.
Someone really ought to change the name of those things.

Is this for real? Is this site serious. Mildred are you kidding us?
ReplyDeleteMildred, I do believe we are all waiting your answer to Mr. Lewis' question. Those of us who are acquainted with you are rather confident to what is going on here, but why don't you inform us yourself.
ReplyDeleteAnd yes, Mr. Lewis, this site is serious. As serious as a heart attack.
ReplyDeleteI hope you boys aren't trying to make fun of my wife tonight. She is not feeling well already, so don't make things worse.
ReplyDeleteGeorge, how nice of you to grace us with your presence. I thought you were to busy being the exalted snowman of the wintry north woods, or something like that. Not having your PR chick doing the work for you anymore? Well that soap opera stuff from Mildred was rather lame, if that was her attempt at humor. But we all knew that the iron range has an effect of the old brain.
ReplyDeleteIs this all you guys ever do. I have read these posts at various times. It always seems like they break out into a war between the cycling guys and the Wilsons. Rather, let us all love one another and quit this squabbling.
ReplyDeleteHey Reverend, thanks for checking in. Just curious what kind of religious outfit you are the front man for? And if you wouldn't mind, let us know what you preach as concerning salvation from hell.

ReplyDeleteFirst of all, I am not sure what you mean by "front man". Second, I don't believe in a literal hell, so I don't preach that man needs to be "saved".
ReplyDeleteFront man is "A man who serves as a nominal leader but who lacks real authority." We don't take you reverends to seriously around here. As for a literal hell, read Luke 16. A certain rich man died, and Jesus said, he was in hell, in torments, and thirsty. So by your own testimony, you are in need of salvation, lest you die and your soul ends up in hell for eternity.
