What happened?

Well I just came to, and I could not believe what I saw when I looked out the window. It is all green. Hardly any brown to be seen. The last I remember I was riding down this big hill and then off a jump, and next thing the calendar shows many months have passed, and I awake in this flat, green, at times cloudy area. Someone fill me in.

  1. Same thing happened to me Monocogman. I was flying down Union Pass, speeds up over 40 mph, and then I remember a semi passing too close, now I find myself where there are no hills, and all that green.

  2. I think we all were out for the same amount of time. I too just "woke up". WOW!! "Who flattened the mountains?" was my first thought. And then "who painted everything green?" It looks like a Kermit the frog family reunion outside my window. Whatever happened, I don't think we are too close to any deserts or mountains around these parts.

  4. Yikes!!!!

You know what that means? We are in for winter. And that means no road riding for this guy.

  5. I have a feeling George Wilson was in on this. He spends his winters up the road from east central MN in the NE section of the state. He probably had us kidnapped or something, and brought us up here, and then took off to spend the summer in Arizona like he always does. Well if he did that, I propose that we ban him for life from this site.

  6. I don't know, sounds a bit too much for uncle George to pull off. Mildred certainly could not keep her mouth shut about such a plan. Maybe some kind of one world order plot or something. I think it was my competition in the upcoming races, afraid I was going to sweep the Independent Baptist Preachers Mountain Bike tour this spring.

  7. Well whoever pulled it off, we are in for one bad winter. No more temps in the 60's and 70's. No more good rides in the hills. No more barefoot in January going to get the mail.

  8. Well you can have your bad attitude if you want Pete, but as for me, but have you seen the sunrise and sunset schedule for the parts. You can ride to almost 9:30 right now without lights, and there is no chance of anything above 90 degrees for some time. So I am planning the 200 miler for May of all times if you can believe it.

  9. Yeah, I was looking at that Pants. Mid 90's for record highs at the end of June, with light on the horizon before 4:00 am and not completely dark until after 10:30. Wow, I think some kind of single speed dirt century is in order for June. Now Pete, you know we weren't doing any kind of good riding from mid June until mid September back in the desert.

  10. Well, OK, I won't call for George's ban, this might not turn out to be so bad after all. But anyone seen any single track around these parts?
